How we show your country’s emergency numbers
To show the emergency numbers for your country, your browser checks your device’s time zone and language settings. This happens on your device, and we do not receive your location. If you choose a country yourself, your browser remembers it (in local storage) so you do not have to choose again. You can clear it in your browser settings.
Cookies
- Our own site does not use tracking cookies. If you leave a comment and tick “Save my name, email, and website”, WordPress stores those in cookies on your device for about a year.
- Advertising: we use Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalized ads in Google’s My Ad Center, or opt out of some other ad networks at aboutads.info. Google explains how it uses this data on How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- Consent: visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalized ads are shown.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to see, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent.
